Dr. Shawn Lankton
Having just received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech in December of 2009, my nephew Shawn reports that he first learned the truth about nutrition in early 2006 after receiving a book from me that Christmas. Immediately understanding the powerful message in that Joel Fuhrman book, he made an almost immediate shift from the S.A.D. to a near optimal diet.
Since then, Shawn has read many more books on this very important topic and has helped many of his friends adopt the wonderful lifestyle that promotes vibrant health for life and does many wonderful things for the planet at the same time.
Shawn is definitely one of my poster boys when it comes to nutrition. I just love it when brilliant people like him embrace the message...well before they ever suffer any chronic disease. Regards, Jim Hicks (Shawn's uncle)
PS: Shawn will soon be moving to New York City, where he will be joining the highly prestigious consulting firm, McKinsey & Company. Maybe one day he will lead a multi-nation task force with a mission of solving the global health care mess, ending world hunger and saving the planet. All we have to do is help people everywhere learn to put the right stuff on the end of their fork.
